The Mandarin Bend
Kaycee Simuong and Tom Macindoe grow a wonderful range of organic seasonal vegetables from their farm, The Mandarin Bend in the Nambucca Valley. Their particular specialty is growing greens and herbs. Their veggies include:
- Silverbeet, Salad mix, Rocket, Coriander, Parsley, Dill, Asian greens – Bok choi, Tatsoi, Pak choi, Lettuce, Carrots, Fennel, Radish, Broccoli, Wom bok, Garlic, Turmeric and Lemongrass.
Kaycee and Tom are regional leaders in sustainable food production and we feel very lucky to have them as core stallholders at our market. They recently joined forces with Autarky Farm and the Harvest Owl to provide an additional service to the area - offering fresh produce online as the organic farmers collective, North Arm Farms .
Their spirit and values is well expressed by Kaycee who says:
"I have a desire to change our broken food system – to educate people about the joys and benefits of seasonal, organic eating and to inspire more young people to connect back to the land and start growing food."
